Privacy
My Very Calculator does not have user accounts and never sends the numbers
you type into a calculator to any server. All calculations happen locally in
your browser. The only things persisted in localStorage are your
dark-mode preference, your recently-used calculators, per-calculator history,
and a few small UI preferences (all namespaced under mvc-*).
How the site is funded
This site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Running ads, plus a small amount of usage analytics, is what keeps the calculators free, account-free, and free of paywalls.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-BRDHZ6FMM4) to
understand which calculators are useful and which pages need work. Google
Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes information such as
your IP address (truncated by Google), device type, approximate location,
referrer, and the pages you visit on this site. We do not link this data
to a personal profile and do not sell it.
To opt out, you can install the
Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on,
enable “Do Not Track” / “Global Privacy Control” in your browser, or use any
content-blocker that filters googletagmanager.com. The site
remains fully functional with analytics blocked.
Advertising
Where ads are shown, they are served by third-party ad networks that may set their own cookies and use device identifiers to show you relevant ads and measure ad performance. These networks operate under their own privacy policies. You can manage personalised-ad preferences at Google Ads Settings and YourAdChoices (US) or Your Online Choices (EU).
Other third parties
The site loads the Geist web font from Google Fonts and lazy-loads the Chart.js library from jsDelivr on the few calculators that render charts. Those providers may receive your IP address when their files are fetched. If you prefer to block them, the site falls back to a system font and charts simply don't render — the calculator itself still works.
Exchange rates (finance calculators)
Finance calculators that show a “Currency” dropdown fetch daily reference
exchange rates through a Cloudflare Pages Function
(/api/fx) backed by a Cloudflare KV cache. The function
calls Frankfurter
(ECB daily reference rates; no API key required) at most once per hour and
serves cached rates to your browser from the edge. Frankfurter receives
your request's IP address when the cache is cold. The rates are stored
in your browser's localStorage for up to 12 hours to avoid
repeat network calls. No personal data is sent; the site functions in
USD if you decline the fetch or block Frankfurter.
Feedback & bug-report community forums
The feedback community forum and the bug-report community forum are the only ways to get in touch. They are public, account-free message boards: anyone can read, anyone can post a new question, and anyone can post the one answer slot on a question or a follow-up. Posts are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database associated with this site. We collect only what you type into the form (an optional display name and the post body), nothing else. There is no account, no email address, no IP-based tracking on the boards. Anyone with the URL can read every public post. Do not include personal information you wouldn't want a stranger to see. The boards exist so visitors can help each other, not as a private channel to us.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/UK, EEA, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection over personal data processed about you. For data we control directly, contact us through the feedback community forum. For Google Analytics data, please use Google's tools linked above.

If we change how we collect data we will update this page. Last updated: 2026-06-06 (v4.7.6 — replaced the v4.4 mailto feedback / bug-report pages with the v4.7.5 community forums at the same URLs; the boards are now the only contact channel).
